summer wind

summer wind, moody and precocious, hovering in the port, caressing the skin of the water in waves, trembling, we depart the land and all the security of belonging, we leave for an adventure, apprehensive, excited. we long to float free, like air, wind and water toward an unknown, though we know or we believe we be back to where we belong. the silver blue ocean moves like a gentle beast within itself, it rises and falls, it swirls, begins and ends in quiet streams, deep, so deep, and extended beyond our imagination. I stand on the deck, as the air whooshes through me, I allow it to caress my senses, and bring me to a calm long sought, long deprived, I put my head on the solid surface of the boat and let the hum of the engine sip inside me, and extend my arms to my side, like a bird that flies, I become one with the boat and float on the silky skin of the water, passing through the column of light, the ocean air, the salty sense of the water, all running through me, the boat I have become.

and the water rocks me slow, till the Captain pushes the gears and the boat tilts up at its head, the engine roars, and we extend forward propelling in a speed that parallels the wind toward the horizon, and the Capitan pushes some more gears and the boat trust forward as the port becomes smaller in the distance the head of the boat tilts down as it takes more energy and spends it ferociously to move faster, and the engine roars and it now rushes through my head and all my bones and flesh, trembling, departing fleeting, going toward the blue soft of the sky and the horizon. we float between the air and the water, as the boat hurls forward and takes us within, hanging, holding to be one with the boat , this beautiful collaboration of knowing and metal, fiberglass and wood, this majestic moving cradle that follows all the laws of movement and space, taking us........

we find a quiet corner where the water rest in the gulfs of land and move slower, we find a permanent stand in the shallow waters, and choose to anchor, a thick rope that holds us to the stand allowing us to float in a permanent stay. we let the air, summer breeze and the cloud move through us without us, and we stay. spread a few lazy chairs on the deck with colorful umbrellas, and then then we lay on the deck, in the chairs all dressed in small pieces that covers the least of our bodies so we can feel and experience more of the sun, the water and the summer wind. the kids jump to the ocean, the older ones, lay around munching the latest delicious cuisines in new forms, all delightful to taste. we talk and let the afternoon takes us slowly through the rapture of summer wind, the air, the salty ocean and the drinks in colorful glasses with colorful umbrellas, it is Divine.
